Ok so I guess it was actually the beach that was the dream :)
My aunt Laurie asked if I would record a video of me singing "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" so I asked Olivia to help me record one at sunset and it turned out great!

The resort is run by the neighboring Kibbutz which is a communal Jewish settlement. We got to tour the small socialist community and it was pretty eye opening.

Things weren't well kept and it didn't seem like a very sanitary place to live. We spoke with our tour guide afterwards and he was able to explain how had lived in Tel Aviv but decided to come live in Ein Gev because he loved being a part of a community where the focus wasn't so individualistic. It was really cool to hear his perspective and get a glimpse of the life he and his wife chose to live.
