The Olive Harvest

It's olive harvest time! There are about a dozen olive trees around the JC so we went out Sunday morning to pick olives so that next week we can press them. Basically the center was getting free labor by "allowing" us the "opportunity" to go and pick olives for them haha. Don't worry - we made it fun :)

There weren't enough ladders so I had to get creative...

Dean and Thomas set up a ladder to pick olives outside on the second floor.

We needed to fill up this HUGE crate with olives.

Both green and black olives can be pressed to make oil.

We'll be using these to make olive oil next week!
